Myname is Alex Wilcox, my hometown is a city called Southampton, situated on the south coast of England. I live with my mother, Step-dad and 16 year old sister, all English. My Father is a South-African who now lives with my Half sisters in Western Australia. 

I have just finished university, where I studied Sports therapy for three years. I have now got a BA honors in Sports therapy. 

Professional and personally I love to socialize with people. That is why I like modeling so much as a job, I never know who im going to meet and work with which keeps things very interesting and fresh. Family and friends mean the world to me, I love to spend as much time as I can with my mates whether that be down the pub or at the gym. I like to keep fit, I am at the gym 5-6 times a week and enjoy many sports. 

One year ago the page three girls from the SPORT (NEWSPAPER) were doing a promotional shoot at my local pub. A lad kept trying to get into the pictures and I asked him why. He replied that he was a model. To be honest I looked at him and thought if he can do it and get good money then I should give it a go! 

Ive have not achieved anything near what I would like to! I am happy that this year I have won Mr Model uk.com and UK urban male model 2007. My ambitions are to be on the front cover of Men’s Health by 2010 and also be paid to be on the cover of Italian Vogue! 

Upsides I would say has got to be you are surrounded by beautiful people, the downside to that is some can be pretentious and fake! I love the fact im working with different people doing different things all the time!

THOR, Un nom de Dieu venu du froid

 

Thor Knai de son vrai nom Torbjørn Knai est né à Tromsø, en Norvège, au nord du cercle polaire.  D’un père officier et d’une mère entrepreneur. 

Après le divorce de ses parents, il passe 16 années de sa vie à Oslo. Pendant  sa scolarité il pratique différentes activites comme les sports d’équipe, les arts martiaux et  faire l’acteur qui ont réveillé sa passion pour l’action.  À l’âge de 14 sa mère  va répondre à une annonce de casting pour une nouvelle mini-série pour NRK, un réseau national de télévision. De là va démarrer sa carrière d’acteur et de modèle…

Thor Knai was born Torbjørn Knai the 22nd of June in Tromsø, Norway, north of the polar circle. His dad an officer and his mom an entrepreneur. His parents dicorced at two and moved to Oslo where Thor spent the next 16 years of his life (Thor by the Oslo-fjord, right). During his school years Thor was involved in a variety of different activites like team sports, martial arts and role-playing which awoke his passion for acting. He was always active in school plays and drama groups and at the age of 14 his mother found a casting call in the newspaper for a new mini-series for NRK, a national television network. Thor landed a supporting part, impressing the director by telling her the origin of his name and part of his mysterious family history, including a sage known for his knowledge of magic arts featured in Norwegian folk lore tales by Asbjørnsen & Moe.

Tyson Ballou est né en 1976 à Garland au Texas. Il a commencé sa carrière de modèle dès l’âge de 15 ans, pour devenir peu à peu l’un des Top models masculins des plus demandés. Il vit actuellement à NYC et travaille pour l’agence IMG.

Later on, he began modeling in NYC for IMG models agency,  which was instrumental in making him one of today’s most successful male models. Les photos de Marcio Del Nero pour le site “The Boy” ne sont pas le premier essai pour des images de charme de la carrière du modèle Edilson Nascimento,  un gaillard brésilien de 22 ans, 1,80m pour 73kg. 

Il a toutefois presque abandonné la carrière de modèle pour être judoka professionnel.

Dommage on rêvait qu’il soit vraiment une propriété française comme indiqué sur son sous-vêtement…

LE MODÈLE DU MOIS: PJ

PJ, qui fait la couverture du dernier PREFmag photographié par Aranda, est américain.

 

Avec ses origines italiennes, cubaines, et allemandes, un tel mélange Nord-Sud prédisposait le garçon à travailler dans les opposés.

Un diplôme de littérature anglaise en poche, PJ s’est lancé tout seul dans des études de nutritionniste avant de rejoindre formellement une école spécialisée dans cette discipline.

Dans l’attente d’entrer dans une agence, il gère en parallèle une carrière de modèle free-lance et enseigne à des enfants autistes.

Son hobby est sportif, il pratique quotidiennement de longues heures de marche.

Gageons que ça lui permettra d’aller loin.

 Des plateaux de la télévision espagnole jusqu’à la  couverture de Pref #23, en passant par les podiums des  créateurs internationaux, Raff est un globe-trotter de  charme qui vient de poser ses valises à New York et  Vancouver pour y  entamer une carrière Nord américaine  et  sans doute y inspirer  bon nombre de photographes  de  premier plan comme  Eugene Gallegos… Mais  derrière  l’apparence du  fougueux Latino, au sang mêlé  d’Espagne et d’Orient, se  cache un jeune homme discret et attachant.

Raff, peux-tu nous décrire ton parcours ?

“ Je suis né en 1981 au Venezuela d’une mère vénézuélienne et espagnole et d’un père libanais. Le Venezuela est un pays étonnant… C’est une sorte de paradis naturel. Mon endroit préféré c’est l’île Margarita, c’est là que je passais toutes mes vacances d’été durant mon enfance. Le Venezuela est plein de ces endroits merveilleux et j’aime mon pays, j’invite tout le monde à y venir, ne vous inquiétez pas à propos de Hugo Chávez… Hé, hé.

J’ai commencé à être modèle à 19 ans en participant au concours de « Mister Venezuela », mais rien de concret ne s’est produit jusqu’à ce que je parte pour l’Espagne à l’âge de 20 ans. Là-bas, une nuit dans un club, une fille m’a remarqué et m’a invité à passer un casting pour une émission télévisée. Ils m’ont sélectionné pour travailler à TVE et quelques autres shows télé. J’y suis resté pendant deux ans et demi, puis le show auquel je participais à été déprogrammé et je suis parti pourBarcelone où j’ai commencé, au bout de six mois, ma carrière dans la mode. J’ai enchaîné ensuite, Milan, l’Allemagne, Londres, Paris, Miami, et New York.”
